Chapter 159 I Became The Top Cultivator With My Harem Of Beauties Beside Me 32

Gu Long watched as He Yuan lowered his head and chuckled to himself and his face turned sad. He turned to Xing Mei with a glare. "Don\'t just speak whatever because you feel like it. Mo Sheng would never do such a thing!"

"Really?" Xing Mei scoffed. "It doesn\'t seem that way. Now that I think of it, he abducted me once. This must be the reason! If brother Jiu hadn\'t saved me then, I would\'ve ended up like the poor demonic cultivator he\'d used!"

She looked around the cultivators and masters present. "Your righteous faction claimed to want a truce but then one of your cultivators goes ahead and refines a demonic cultivator, is this how you show your sincerity?!"

Ru Cheng watched everything from a shaded corner of the arena. He might not have been present at this event in his last life but things seemed to be going differently than what he had been told. His eyes trailed to Mo Jiu, who was now standing with his hands over his chest. Why did things change?

Shen Mianmian gracefully stood up and her robes fluttered in the air, giving her an ethereal look. She looked to Xing Mei. "Sister Mei, I know you are angry but roping the rest of the righteous cultivators with such a person will not do. I can proudly say that the righteous faction has nothing to do with Mo Sheng\'s actions!"

Grunts of agreement rang out as the cultivators slowly became heated.

Xing Mei humphed. "Your words hold no wieght. Mo Sheng\'s actions are clear for all to see."

The family head of one of the prominent cultivation clans slowly stood up and looked to Ru Lianfeng. "Sect master Ru. This kid seems to be from your sect. With your silence, people would misunderstand and think his actions are fully supported by the Duoluo sect."

Ru Lianfeng stood with a frown. This was what he was worried about. He cupped his fists at the elderly cultivator. "Family head Huo, I know this seems off but Mo Sheng is a hybrid so-"

"BAH!" A different sect master shouted. "Is this how the Duoluo sect plans to cover up this situation? By claiming he\'s a hybrid?"

Ru Lianfeng froze. It seems his explanation would do nothing to help. If he kept trying to defend Mo Sheng then his Duoluo sect would become the number one enemy of the cultivation world. He couldn\'t have that.

He sent He Yuan an apologetic smile. Whether Mo Sheng had truly refined a demonic cultivator or not, he had no idea but he couldn\'t let this bring the Duoluo sect down.

"How about this? Why don\'t we imprison the offender and handle this behind closed doors? This is the Linyun Canyon it isn\'t too inappropriate to hold a trial here?" Mo Sheng would have to suffer a little bit of injustice. The Duoluo sect had done so much for him, it wouldn\'t be too much to ask for him to spare the sect of his crimes.

A bunch of cultivators were beginning to get swayed. It was indeed inappropraite to handle it here. This concerned the shaky peace treaty between the righteous and demonic factions, the Bureau would have to be informed.

Shen Hei narrowed his eyes. This was a good opportunity to make the Duoluo sect owe him a favour. With that, he would be able to get his daughter to be exclusive dao partners with Mo Jiu. He still preferred Mo Jiu even if he lost. Mo Sheng\'s evil ways did not fool him.

He looked up at the Huo famuly head. "Sect Master Ru is right we should-"

A low chuckle interrupted Shen Hei and Mo Jiu slowly walked over. "We should what? Do as sect master Ru has said and hand him over to the Bureau? What about the cultivator that was killed?" He looked over to Ru Lianfeng. "Sect master. The best way to clear the Duoluo sect from this crime is to get rid of the scourge ourselves!"

Ru Lianfeng froze. Anyhow, Mo Sheng was elder Mo\'s disciple. How was he going to answer to the Immortal ascension master once the elder came out of seclusion? "Why don\'t we-"

"Junior Mo is right." An elder cut in before Ru Lianfeng could continue. "It would be best to get rid of the scourge ourselves and clear our name before everyone."

Mo Jiu walked back towards the platform and called Huoyan to him before pointing the tip of the flame sword in He Yuan\'s direction. He was very certain that Mo Sheng had used some kind of evil means to increase his cultivation.

How disgusting. Even if he, Mo Jiu, practiced an evil cultivation method, he was different from Mo Sheng. He had done it because he had no choice but Mo Sheng had done it with the intention to cause harm!

Mo Sheng had also abducted Xing Mei once. He must have been so eager to advance that he\'d lost all rationality and made a desperate move back then. Mo Jiu scoffed to himself. It was a good thing he\'d managed to save Xing Mei in time.

It was unbelievable that he\'d lost to such a person. Anyways, Mo Sheng would lose his life here today. What would it matter if he won the match then? History was after all, written by the victors. Mo Jiu raised his chin at He Yuan. "Daxiong, although we are disciple brothers, I would not turn my eyes away and condone injustice.

-No matter what, good must prevail and -even though it tears my heart- on behalf of the righteous path, I shall mete out punishment and carry out justice!"

Xing Mei, Shen Mianmian, Mu Qingqing, the jade twins and a bunch of others all stared at Mo Jiu with worry. How must their Mo Jiu be feeling right now? Finding out after all these years that his daxiong was such a bad person. He must be hurting deep inside.

"Mo Jiu is truly a model to the younger generation. Ready to forget all ties for the good of the righteous faction. Can\'t compare, can\'t compare." A disciple said in fanatic admiration.

"KILL HIM!" Another one shouted fiercely. Mo Sheng was such a heartless cultivator. He did not deserve to live!

"Brother Jiu is so admirable. Truly the brightest star of our generation."

"Mo Sheng is truly horrible, forcing Jiu-gege to make such a tough decision."

"If elder Mo was here, he would be thoroughly heartbroken my Mo Sheng\'s evil ways."

"Who knew such despicable righteous cultivators existed? This is the reason why I never applied at any large sect."

"DESTROY THE SCOURGE!"

A cultivator shouted and the entire place erupted in a frenzy of screams and hate for He Yuan. A lot of cultivators present were hotblooded youth with hero syndrome -always wanting to collectively destroy a single foe.

"STOP!" Gu Long shouted with his spiritual power as he stared at the frenzied crowd. "Mo Sheng would never do such a thing, he is being wrongly accused!" He turned to Mo Jiu. "Anyhow, Mo Sheng is your daxiong, how can you confidently say such high sounding bullshit?!"

One of the Duoluo sect elders frowned. He quite liked Gu Long, so he called out. "Hey, Gu kid, it would be better if you stepped down and stopped interfering. This is a battle between disciple brothers for the benefit of the righteous faction. You\'re a decent cultivator, you wouldn\'t want to be roped in with the scourge will you?"

"WHAT SCOURGE?!" Gu Long was now shaking from intense anger. "Mo Sheng would never do such a thing!" He hated repeating his words but he wasn\'t very good at arguments.

"He would ne-" A hand on Gu Long\'s shoulder made the angry man turn silent. He slowly turned around to face He Yuan with reddened eyes. He felt even worse than the person being accused. "Mo Sheng~"

"Let me handle it." He Yuan said and moved Gu Long behind. Next, he turned to the Huo family head first. The cultivators were being noisy so he just used his spiritual power to project his voice. If there was anything he was most confident in, it was his ability to talk himself out of tough situations.

"Sect master Ru wasn\'t lying when he called me a demon hybrid," He began. "Rather than rant and accuse me baselessly, wouldn\'t it be better to verify first? I can\'t believe that in an arena full of elders, sect masters and top masters, you would let a wet-behind-the-ears youngster to take the lead in making a decision.

-A lot of you have lived for centuries -some even over a thousand. Did you lot spend all those years rearing chickens? What happened to the experience that naturally came with age and enlightenment?"

A lot of the older cultivators frowned at He Yuan\'s words and the environment became less heated whilst Mo Jiu glared fiercely at He Yuan, Huoyan was trembling in his hand as he itched to pierce the burning sword through the man\'s throat.

But he held himself back. Mo Sheng\'s words had put him in a tight spot, making it seem like he had no regard for his seniors. Normally, he wouldn\'t care, but he was in an arena brimming full of the old monsters. Three or four he could handle. All of them, he could not. There was no need to act rashly now.

A grey haired cultivator cleared his throat and stroked his thin white beard. They were still going to kill the scourge but they couldn\'t make it look as if they were obeying the orders of their junior. What would happen to their reputations then? If they let it happen one time, who is to say it wouldn\'t happen a second or third time?

"Tell us then, how do you plan to prove your innocence?

He Yuan\'s lips arched. "Whether I practice evil methods or not, a quick check by a top master could prove that. As for my demon form," His eyes trailed to Xing Mei. "Why not let the person who accused me in the first place to verify? But a completely clueless demonic cultivator has to be brought in too, in case she decides to lie."

Xing Mei sneered. "Why would I lie? I know in my heart that you\'re a very bad person! There\'s no way you\'re innocent, you\'re just stalling for time!"

He Yuan remained silent as the Lao family patriarch stood up. The Lao clan was a medicinal clan that dealt with refining pills of the high grade and above. Any top master could run the check on He Yuan but it was best if the Lao patriarch did it.

As a cultivator from a prominent medicinal clan, he didn\'t have any strong ties to any faction or person. This was so he could be trusted with the ails of the cultivators without fearing that he would harm them on behalf of their foe.

A demonic cultivator was quickly found and transported to the arena with a teleportation array. The Lao family head, Xing Mei and the demonic cultivator all stepped forward.

Everyone was silent and although the demonic cultivator had been a little confused when he first arrived, he said nothing. All he was instructed to do was cross examine a supposed hybrid and he was going to get two bottles of high grade cleansing pills, a bottle of high grade replenishing pills and two high grade artifacts.

Who wouldn\'t be tempted? Even if he had been told not to trust the righteous cultivators, he was blinded by greed. It was a little intimidating to suddenly arrive in a place full of righteous cultivators but when he noticed they were two of his kind -even if one was in his demon form and covered in strange runes- he decided to relax.

He Yuan clenched his needles in one and and his last teleportation talisman in the other. Allowing a different cultivator to examine your dantian was incredibly risky as they could easily harm you. He was only trying this because of his large meridians.

Due to the size of his channels, there was enough room to easily enshroud their own energy with his as they guided it into him, making it easy for him to eject them quickly in the case of mishap.

Even though that was the case, He Yuan still held his needles tightly. One wrong move and he was going to turn the offender\'s neck into a pin cushion and escape. Who cares if he was branded as a killer? It was still better than dying.

He could still return later and clear Mo Sheng\'s bame. Although it would be better for the leaser to become a wandering cultivator. The environment in these righteous sects was incredibly toxic for a person\'s mental and physical growth.

As for Mo Jiu, He Yuan wasn\'t worried. He\'d corrected the issue with the drug. Although it was different from what he had originally planned, it would still work out perfectly and Mo Jiu would never be able to advance to the point of being overpowered again.

Patriarch Lao stepped forward and placed a hand on He Yuan\'s chest. He Yuan\'s robes had been ripped off during his demonic transformation so all he had on was his pants -that was why they had all discovered the runes in the first place.

After a while, He Yuan felt the Lao patriarch\'s energy flow into him. It was very uncomfortable but he made sure to pay utmost focus.

Soon enough, the Lao patriarch removed his hand. Next he shook his head visibly and addressed the crowd. "This junior did not lie about not practicing evil methods. His dantian is still very, very pure." He suddenly smiled suggestively at He Yuan. "Purer than a whole lot."

Some old cultivators got old Lao\'s meaning and chuckled whilst He Yuan lowered his head in embarrassment. It was said that sexual intimacy reduced the efficacy of a cultivator\'s cultivation and that was why all cultivators were required to, at least, reach eighteen before being intimate with others.

Mo Jiu, of course, did not care about this rule.

Mo Sheng, on the other hand, was a thousand year old virgin at twenty five so the Lao patriarch\'s words weren\'t surprising.
